Eilidh's dash down south to play in the school's Internationals

Renfrewshire's teenager Eilidh Briggs (Kilmacolm) was so determined to play for Scotland in Monday's annual schools golf international against England at Royal Lytham & St Anne's Golf Club, that her Dad whisked her last night from Aberdeenshire to the Lancashire venue - a drive of some six hours.
Eilidh, a 15-year-old pupil at Gryffe High School, Johnstone, played for Renfrewshire in the Scottish women's county championship finals at the Inchmarlo Golf Resort, Banchory from Friday until the three-day programme ended in the early evening today.
Then the Briggs - Eilidh's older sister Megan, a Scotland cap - was also playing for Renfrewshire, set off for Royal Lytham & St Annes.
+ Megan Briggs was the joint MVP in the County Finals  with 51/2pt out of 6 and sister Eilidh Briggs was the second  MVP (Most Valuable Player) in the county finals with 5 pt out of 6
Megan matched  Fiona Hastie's points total for title-winners Fife
