Approximately 60 ladies attended the County Dinner at Haggs Castle Golf Club last night and the host Club did us proud with a very efficiently served delicious meal at our Biennial dinner. Everyone sounded as though they were enjoying themselves judging by the noise! It was a nice way to catch up with friends after a long winter.
We were very pleased to welcome our 2 guests our Golf Professional Coach Lesley MacKay and Trish Brown's husband Colin who was the guest speaker.
Colin told us all about being Captain of the R&A in 2010 and many of the events that he was involved in over his term of office.
Colin then drew the winning ticket for a ROUND OF GOLF FOR FOUR at THE CASTLE COURSE, St ANDREWS and Ann Terrey from Greenock Golf Club was the lucky girl!
Then Anne Dunn from Kilmacolm won the lovely flowers from the top table to take home.
Captain Trish would like to give you a correct figure for the amount which we have raised but it is about £1,200 which is fantastic and all thanks to those who sold the tickets and especially those who bought them ----- Have now got the correct amount raised from the raffle:- £1,336 which is a fantastic sum. Thanks to everyone!
Trish
The "Reverend" Mo Neilson said grace before the meal and Vice Captain Maureen Woodhead gave the vote of thanks at the end of the evening
