ALYSON MCKECHIN STRUGGLES TODAY IN THE BRITISH OPEN LADIES' AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

Defending champion Lanarkshire's Pamela Pretswell (Bothwell Castle) is still in the mix, sharing 10th place on 152 with a pair of 76s in the British Ladies' Open Amateur Championship today at Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club, Sussex. Lanarkshire's Rachael Taylor added a 79 to her 1st round score to share 8th spot. Unfortunately Renfrewshire's Alyson McKechin (Elderslie) struggled today with a second round of 84 --7 over the CSS. However,she has made the cut. Unfortunately Megan Briggs did not make the cut.
The CSS was 77, one more than yesterday.
