VICE CAPTAIN JUNE WINS THE ERSKINE MEDAL

The well supported field was dramatically reduced to 17 as the wet rainy weather hit Renfrewshire.

Eleven brave ladies ventured out into the rain during the day with the six evening players hitting dry conditions. The course held up well and many of those who played gave very positive feedback regarding its condition despite the weather.

Julie Wilson (Williamwood) won the scratch with a gross 81 and a bih over Gillian Kyle (East Renfrewshire).

June Lockhart (Gleddoch) pictured won Division One with a 75 nett. Julie Wilson (Williamwood) and Denise Cowan (Ranfurly Castle) were in second and third place with a 77 and 78 nett respectively.

Division Two was won by Elaine Robb (Milngavie) with a nett 76 - this was despite Elaine trying to knock herself out in the car park prior to play!!!! Lesley Anderson (Caldwell) and Linda Honeyman (Erskine) were second and third with a nett 79 and 81 respectively.

Many ladies turned up on the day and turned the terrible wet conditions into a positive over coffee and a chat.
