Stars of past Curtis Cup matches step back into the spotlight tomorrow morning at The Nairn Golf Club in the Past Players' Match, a traditional eve-of-the-match get-together of mainly players who have represented Great Britain and Ireland in the biennial transatlantic amateur international fixture down through the years.
This year, Carol Semple Thompson, who has played in more Curtis Cup matches (12) than any other American - and who captained the US team in the 2008 match over the Old Course, St Andrews - is making an appearance, as is Irish legend Mary McKenna who holds the GBandI record of playing in nine Curtis Cup matches.
